The Preliminary Findings of the Renewables in Cities Global Status Report illustrates how cities are using renewable energy in the electricity, heating and cooling and transport sectors. The report looks at what motivates cities to use renewables and also documents the types of policies, innovative technologies, business models, and community engagement initiatives that cities are using to implement the renewable energy transition.
200 experts have provided data and information from around the world for The Preliminary Findings of the Renewables in Cities Global Status Report. REN21 carried out more than 40 interviews to fill data gaps and gather further information on specific topics. The final report will be published September 2019.
